The 2012-13 Chair

Angela J. Grayson joined DuPont in 2008 and is currently Senior Counsel, Intellectual Property.

Prior to joining DuPont, Angela had previous experience as in-house patent counsel for two Fortune 500® companies, as well as prior experience in the examining corps for the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Angela received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Delta State University. She received her Master of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Mississippi and her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law. While at UM Law, she served as Staff Editor, Journal of National Security Law.

Angela is an Adjunct Professor at Widener University School of Law, where she teaches Patents and Trade Secrets in the Legal Education Institute.  Angela chaired the “2010 DuPont & Widener University School of Law Intellectual Property CLE”, and was co-founder and co-chair of the Widener University School of Law’s inaugural “Introduction to Intellectual Property Law Seminar” geared toward entrepreneurs, artists, inventors and non-IP lawyers. Angela is faculty and lecturer with Practicing Law Institute, and has lectured in the program series “IP Issues in Business Transactions.” Angela is also committed to community involvement through her work with the DuPont Pro Bono Program as well as her leading work establishing the United States Patent and Trademark Office Intellectual Property Pro Bono Program in the Delaware Valley aimed at serving low income small and independent inventors. Angela was previously on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Delmarva chapter of the American Red Cross®.
