Outsourcing
To handle the growing need for document collection, processing and review, DuPont Legal has added to its legal network of primary service providers, R.R. Donnelley Global Legal Services (RRD) formerly Office Tiger Offshore outsourcing services.
RRD provides litigation document review and analysis at its facilities located in Chennai, India and Manila, Philippines. For certain cases, a dedicated staff of licensed attorneys in these locations reviews documents under watch of project management supplied by RRD and as directed by counsel responsible for the matter.
RRD also provides teams of onshore and offshore attorneys (and other legal professionals) to collaborate with DuPont’s in-house and outside counsel in assessing paper and electronic documents collected for litigation.
Why the addition of RRD to the DuPont Legal Network?
- The legal industry has experienced consistent fee inflation since the 1990s. The impact of Sarbanes–Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX) has further exacerbated the situation with law expenses becoming a cost-focus for companies as its impact grows.
- The DuPont Legal Model was one way of addressing increasing cost—the basis for first generation modern management of outside legal spend that revolutionized the traditional way that in-house counsel and outside law firms do business.
- Another way, historically, has been unbundling of legal services that law firms usually don’t provide. These, for example, may include document collection and review, abstraction, analytics, contract management and intellectual property support services.
RRD offers non-core services, relevant expertise, dedicated resources and standardized processes that will bring down costs, increase efficiencies and discipline legal spend.
