Since 1992, the DuPont Legal Model has been an agent for change, adaptability and efficiency in corporate law. For this reason, DuPont Legal encourages our legal network of Primary Law Firms (PLFs) and Primary Service Providers (PSPs) to adopt a culture of efficiency and cost control, to evaluate work processes, to create more effective ways of delivering legal services. To help measure the program, PLFs and PSPs complete a yearly Benchmark Survey.
This survey has been conducted since 1996 and asks each PLF and each PSP to perform a self-assessment on how it is achieving the goals of the Legal Model. The survey poses a series of questions that the respondent must answer about its contribution in the following categories:
- Further Savings
- “Best in Class” working for DuPont
- Growing DuPont’s Business
- Technology Payback
- Women and minorities representing DuPont
- Demonstrated leadership
The data from the survey is analyzed and presented in a report at the network’s annual meeting.
